Stage one: Research
Smoker
Usually, beekeepers use a smoker in which various substances are burned. This smoke, which is produced there, is blown into a bee colony. This leaves residues in honey and wax, and at the same time the bees are distracted and sting less. This is because they are busy packing in as much of their most valuable commodity (honey) as possible, because they think, based on an evolutionary impulse, that their home tree would burn. However, the bees are stressed by this and not calmed down.
Workflow on the beehive
Research
In my research phase, I came across a text in which scientists found out that there are chemical substances that are also found in flowers that make bees calm down and become less aggressive, this is the aspect my bachelor thesis is based on. Fragrances dissolved in air escape from the funnels of the vaporizer, similar to the vaporizer principle. In the body of the product there is space to carry everything that the beekeeper needs to work on the hive.
Model for "calculating" the behavior of the bee:
In the graphic on the left, you can see an integrative mechanism that calculates a "defense behavior" through all stimuli (visual, mechanical, olfactory, etc.).
Survey
To get a better idea of my target group and to get more important information, I conducted an online survey.
